Though our in-person Show was cancelled due to COVID-19 safety concerns, the 59th Annual Art Show GOES ONLINE with an exciting lineup of artists videos and LIVE programs!
The Armonk Outdoor Art Show, is a fine arts and fine crafts juried show sponsored by the Friends of the North Castle Public Library, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds benefit the North Castle Public Library, educational and entertainment programming, and The Armonk Players theater group. The Art Show is run by more than 300 community volunteers. Armonk, a hamlet in the Town of North Castle, is located in Westchester County, 35 miles north of New York City. In 1961, the Friends of the North Castle Public Library started an outdoor art exhibition to raise funds for the library. With only a handful of artists showing their work on the lawn of the Armonk Methodist Church bordering Main Street, the Armonk Outdoor Art Show was born. The show soon outgrew the churchyard and was relocated to the parking lot in front of the library. As the show and its crowds grew, the venue again changed, first to the Legion Field in front of Town Hall and finally to its current home at Community Field in 1997. Now, more than a half century later, nearly 200 exhibitors are chosen from hundreds of juried applicants from across the country and around the world. This celebration of fine art and fine crafts, displayed in a bucolic tree-lined park, has grown to become one of the nation's most highly rated art shows. Each year, thousands of art lovers come to see an ever-changing display of paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more.
